UPSC Previous Years Question Papers

Analysis of previous year question papers is one of the most important parts of the IAS/UPSC examination preparation strategy.

When you do not know the type of question being asked in the examination, how can you make preparation accordingly?

The main points that you should keep in mind while analyzing previous year question papers are:

  • Analyze core areas from which questions are being asked.
  • Closely refer to keywords in questions.
  • Analyze from which section questions are regularly asked in the examination.
  • However, UPSC doesn’t need to follow the same pattern while setting question papers, but we cannot miss higher probability sections for this examination.

Closely refer to the word limit in which the answer has to be written and practice accordingly.

Now let’s have a look at the previous year’s question papers.
